After completing my three application, now I'm stuck in the wait period of the application process. GSB's website says, "Interview invites for round 2 will go out between mid Jan to mid Feb." Sloan's invites will be more towards Feb, while Booth will release mid decision reviews (Interview invite or Application Denial) on Feb 13th.
Even though, it might seem a little late to blog about MBA applications, since I'm already in the middle of the season with a few applications left, I think the major reason I am writing this blog is to document my experience for future references. I still have to write my applications to UT and Rice. Both the schools offer work professional or part time programs in Houston. The reason I am even considering a part time program is because of my unique situation. A non-resident on work visa with a master's degree. I am not currently thinking of changing industries, but I do want to take the entrepreneurship route in near future. My visa status, a previous masters degree and passion for becoming an entrepreneur have led me to apply to the most competitive full time programs in the country and a couple of part time programs, if the full time route doesn't materialize.
